			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I took a large video ringlight to a friend&#8217;s BBQ.  The results of a ringlight are very flattering, nice even light and a gentle falloff.  The problem is that most ringlights (strobe) have a small diameter.  The really large ringlights are normally built custom for studios.  This particular ringlight (Diva Ringlight) is pretty big, but you have to set it very very close to your subject to get those freaky circular catchlights in the eye.  It&#8217;s also not the brightest thing; I had to bump my ISO to 400 to shutter at 1/125 F4.</p>
<p>It is funny to see what people do when plopped in front of a large light source and a camera though.</p>
